Japan and the United Kingdom have long maintained close ties between their people and their economy. In October 2020 they announced the signature of The UK–Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA): a major trade deal that promotes the exchange of goods, services and ideas. The agreement enhanced existing agreements specifically in financial services and ensured regular dialogue between the Japanese and the UK governments as well as their respective central banks and financial regulators.
Against a backdrop of geopolitical tensions, disrupted supply chains, and a recent pandemic, strong partnerships have become crucial in ensuring a sustainable and sustained recovery.
LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), in collaboration with FinCity.Tokyo, and TheCityUK and City of London Corporation, cordially invites you to a conference which will explore how:
-
Regulatory cooperation between Japan and the UK is an enabler for strong, sustainable growth;
-
Interoperability of sustainability principles and standards can help support an environmentally and socially conscious recovery;
-
Joint initiatives have produced innovative financial solutions that accelerate change for good; and,
-
The economic outlook of both nations is enhanced through collaboration.
The event will be in a hybrid format as below. As seats are limited, please register early to secure your seat. We look forward to welcoming you!
